Clifton Africa works with governments, institutional investors, landowners and private developers to help bring real estate projects to fruition. Our involvement depends on the needs of each project. We may help shape the commercial structure, introduce funding partners, coordinate the development team or oversee delivery from concept through to completion.
Development
Every successful development begins with a viable opportunity, but turning that opportunity into a deliverable project requires experience, judgement and careful planning. Clifton Africa works with clients from the earliest stages, assessing feasibility, refining development concepts and establishing the commercial framework needed to move projects forward. We work either as lead developer or alongside local partners, adapting our role to suit the requirements of each project and the experience of those involved.
Commercial Structuring
A well-conceived development can still fail if the commercial structure is wrong. Clifton Africa works with clients to establish arrangements that are practical, bankable and aligned with the interests of all parties. Our experience includes joint ventures, special purpose vehicles, development agreements, off-take structures and funding arrangements. Our role is to create a framework that gives governments, investors and development partners the confidence to commit to a project and see it through to completion.
Finance
Securing the right funding is often the difference between a project that proceeds and one that remains on the drawing board. Clifton Africa works with clients to identify appropriate sources of capital and to present opportunities in a form that meets the expectations of investors and lenders. We have experience working with institutional investors, development finance institutions, commercial lenders and private capital, helping to bridge the gap between sound development opportunities and the finance needed to deliver them.
